My hair is super fine, straight and naturally platinum blonde, I want nice and longer hair. ALSO i want clip in ones because then i could take them off and they wont ruin my hair but i want to know what YOU think...

So if you have fine hair and you want long hair, you should get clip in extensions. Not only will they give you the length you want, they will also give your hair fullness. Clip ins won't damage your hair, as you already seem to know. And the clip ins allow you to go back and forth between long and short. How fun is that?

Why not make a deal with your mom. Ask her to let you get the extensions and if you don't keep your hair clean, you have to remove them and you can't have them anymore. I'm afraid it may not be as easy as you think to keep your hair clean but it's worth a try. Good luck.

as long as you wash your hair (gently, with mild shampoo) you'll be fine. just make sure you wash your scalp well and you'll be ok. I've had extensions, all different kinds, about 30 times. I didn't smell or look funny, and was VERY clean.

Hair extensions can be pretty expensive. I don't think I'd skimp on something like this. So as long as you have the correct means to get the money, you should make sure you get your money's worth.

Why does your mom disagree? Have you listened to what she has to say? I think it would be a good idea to talk to her, calmly, and make a deal (like someone else mentioned). If you don't hold up your side, then you need to be mature and accept the consequences!

Where would be the best place to go for side bangs? Do you think that chain hair cut places (such as great clips or fantastic sams) could cut them just as well as hairstylisits that work in salons? If I took them a picture, do you think they would be able to cut that style to my likings?

Salons are better, but they're usually more expensive. I would go to Fantastic Sams or Great Clips if you're just getting a trim. If you're going for a totally new haircut, go to a salon.

For just side bangs, you should just go to a chain place. It's kind of pointless to spend more than twenty dollars just for bangs.

Bring a picture if there's a hairstyle you really have your heart set on. If you're not sure, they usually have albums of hairstyles or magazines that you can look though at the place.

I don't have a ton of money to spend of a super professional hair stylist [I'm going to great clips...] and I was wondering what terms I should use to describe the haircut that I want to whoever cuts my hair. I have already attempted to cut my hair myself, but it didn't come out as I wanted it to.

"I want it to be medium length [a little past my shoulders] and choppy with lots of layers. I would like the top layers to be pretty short, but the longer layers to be able to still be put straight almost as if they were extensions. I want to be able to do the puffy-top hair as well."

The extensions they offer are expertly matched to your real hair so they look natural, and not like the dodgy hairpieces five year olds play with. umm they work just dont get into a fight cuz some1 would rip them out.

go to a hair stylist. there is this technique that most celebrities use to get that nice wavy, not quite curly look. theey take your hair and put in some product to define the curls and hold them. then they section off you hair and twist in into a series of random buns etc and hold it down with hair pins. then you go under the dryer for like 30mins and when you come out u have the wavy look. it lasts too. check into it

depends on where you go to, I charge 3.00 per piece. It's around 450- 600 dollars I usually do around 150 to 200 pieces. Some places charge alot more depending if they are certified by a company. ok, I have thick hair and i hate it! its always frizzy and impossible to straighten. i take showers every day before i go to school and within 2 hours, its gressy again. so i take another shower when i get home. the ends are all split and its not soft at all. everyday i have to put it up in a hair tie and then in a hair clip. i'd wear it down once in a while, but it WONT STRAIGHTEN! even with a hair straightener. what do i do? please help!

Don't wash your hair everyday. Get a good trim, and don't use heat styling too often. My hair is also very thick, curly and long. What I have had to learn, the hard way, is not to try and force my hair into these new 'trendy' styles. Not all hair is meant to be straight. cut off the split ends, NEVER wash your hair more than once a day, even once every other day is fine, don't straighten it, that will just make it look terrible and fake, try to maybe get some anti frizz product, just a touch after your shower will help, but not too much or else your hair will get oily. put it in a bun with a thin headband, that looks cute on curly haired people, or in a tight braid, instead of fighting it, try to make the best of it and rock your curls! hope i helped! If all else fails, you can get it semi-perminently straightened, not japanese perm but relaxed that will take a way most of the frizz and make it less curly.

If the hair extension is synthetic then it wont color...its not real hair so it wont take color. If it is real hair then it will, if the hair is dark you have to bleach it to lighten it up...if its light you can use hair dye to deepen the color.....basically you cant really go from dark to light color by just hair dye-colorant--you would need bleach. Synthetic hair is a fiber not porous like real hair--hope this helps.

If you really can't bare this there are hair powders that you can put in to "freshen it up" or you could put some perfume on it. And please remember to take your vitamins because they maximize hair growth :P

The best way to fit them I find is to section the hair off starting about ear level and fit the first section there. Then leave a gap of about 3 cm and make your next section above this, carry on until the hair looks full enough. As for the clips I'm afraid its just practise, they need to be opened before applying and I find if you secure them just below the parting it works the best! Clip shut as tight to the scalp as possible this makes them more secure. Hope this helps.

Woah calm down you can easily go to a salon that does haircolor and get it stripped. They can take out all of the black and then dye it whatever color it was before. The only thing is that it's pretty costy and it's bad for your hair. You could try bleaching it yourslef but i've done that and it came out looking even worse. You can't strip black : / Black is the one color that is almost always permanent. A stripper might lift it to a gross dark orange brown color, and you will have to repeatedly re-strip your hair every week for a few weeks to even get it to look brown.

Your best bet is to either dye the whole thing black or dark brown, (or how about dye all the blonde pink or something so it doesnt look as weird), or go see a professional about color correction.

Does your hair hold a curl? If so, then try putting some mousse/gel in your hair when it's wet. Then twirl the individual waves around your finger to help them take on a nice shape. Then let your hair air dry and you'll have nice loose waves! You can turn your bangs into one of these curls or clip them in with the rest of your hair.

Try a half pony tail. Take the top half of you hair and pull it back with a clip or hair claw. Or try twisting just the top portion into a loose bun and clip that up, leaving the rest of it loose and straight or wavy.

You can also part it on one side and then clip the hair on the opposite side of the part back with a couple of cute flat clips.

Or try a ponytail, but with a side part. This is really cute and you can straighten your hair and leave your bangs out or clip them in. You can also try twisting the bangs on top of your head and clipping them to add some style to your pony tail.

Well, my friend Dustin came to school one day with a pink streak in his hair. In class later, I noticed that it wasn't there anymore. Then I saw him with this little clip with 3-4 inch long pink hair attached to it. He clipped it into his hair and covered it up with his original hair, and it looked so real. Is there any store that I can get it at, thats NOT online? I only want simple short length extensions that I can use for a hairstyle that I want (Which would take until July to grow out). I live in Fort McMurray, so there isn't much selection. I can list a few stores, since I can't go there right now.

(she will be 3 years old in just under 3 months). We've been cutting her bangs to get it out of her eyes, but her hair has been growing so fast lately, we can't keep up with it. Also, her sides are still trying to grow out as long as the back of her hair and so that keeps getting in her eyes as well, but we don't want to cut it. Her hair is so fine that barretts and clips won't stay in for very long. I'm wondering if I should just try and grow out her bangs and then maybe her hair will get thick enough that clips will stay in.

Ive been trying to grow out her bangs for the past 2 years (once her hair finally grew all in and was somewhat uniform), but my mom kept taking her to get a haircut when she visited with them. I finally told her you cut her hair again and thats the last time she comes to visit without me LOL.

Anyways, it's been about a year, and they can just now barely fit behind her ears. I just keep the part on the side and pull her bangs to the other side, either in a cute clip or tie. The plastic rubber bands that don't break the hair are perfect for this, it makes a cute little pom-pom on the other side of her head and holds it steady. Also, those pop in clips that most women use to hold up loose ends in a pony tail or something like that work really good too... we just stocked up on sparkly rainbow looking ones lol. "Kid" clips tend to not work at all IMO.

Her last major haircut was last year around this time, and we got it cut into a cute bob layered around her face, so that as the bangs grow it all sorta grows together. Her hair obviously grows slow, as it is now just to her shoulders.

Hair can be trained not to be parted %26amp; a short Bob would look cute on her. I have worn Human hair extensions for the past 12 months...replacing them every 2 months. About a month ago I removed them totally %26amp; found my natural hair was damaged beyond expected. I lost quite alot of my natural hair cos when you use the "glue" karatin tipped extensions it doesn't always remove without taking real hair with it...so I have alot of broken ends.

Althought I must say...damn I looked good with 26 inchs of flowing hair. In the short term...clip ins are great as long as you fasten them well.

My advice is use clip ins %26amp; get someone else to put them in for you.

I have the same problem! Try taking some hair from the top and clipping the small piece on top of you head, and push it forward a little bit. Then leave the rest of the hair down. You can always make your hair really curly and bushy, and get a tight headband and put it on. That will make your hair stand out, in a good way. When I'm in a hurry, I'll style my hair with mousse and hairspray, srunching it, and then gather it all and make a huge, loose bun on the top of your head. It's easy, fast, and looks really good. Try making some french braid pigtails.

I have great lengths extensions...have had them for about a month now because my hair had to be chopped off about ear lengths and in layers due to a bad straightener that wrecked my hair that was once long and naturally curly. I am going on a cruise with about 36 friends in April (a month and a half from now). My extensions are thin, stringy, and curly. I have to wash them every morning, blow dry, and style (lots of brushing). About 7 or 8 hours later, they are back to stringy. My husband LOVES them and thinks I'm crazy. I only got the 8" so that's probably why they look stringy to me. They only go a little past my shoulders so the ends show real bad. I paid $750. My question is should I go ahead and get them taken out now and just get clip-ins for the cruise? Would clip ins work with short layered hair? Can you get clip-ins wet/swimming? Or, should I get them taken out and just sport my short cut which looks like hell when the wind catches it good?

It's black, the same color as my hair, so it blends in pretty well, but I'm worried it will look cheap or tacky. I was thinking of getting some jeweled pins to clip up my hair in the front, to draw attention away from the black plastic clip. Would that work?

Have her wash her hair and towel dry it. When the back is still damp, put some gel, mousse, or hairspray in it and blowdry it upside down running your fingers through it upwards so it spikes up. Or you could try doing it dry, using some pomade and running your fingers through it upwards with the pomade. If it doesn't seem to want to spike, the problem could be its too thick or too long.

i know eBay sells them, but if i were you i wouldn't buy hair on line because you want to have it next to yours for color and texture. also you never know what you are getting when you buy on line. Don't get permanent extensions they just damage your natural hair, instead go to a hair salon, and get your ends trimmed every 3 weeks or so- this actually allows your hair to grow longer (the cut ends won't split allowing more space for hair to become longer)

there are no such things as permanent extensions. if you do go the extension route DO NOT try to pass them off as your own hair. extensions are very common these days so there's no shame in that. but if you're trying to pass and one of the clips comes out (like it did this week with a girl at work) you will look foolish. if you are honest when asked and admit they are extensions, then you won't face any shame if you have a mishap. i tend to think that clip-in extensions look blatantly fake, because you can always see a distinct line where the real hair ends laying on top of the fake hair. also, try to match your color as closely as possible.

Clip in's rock. I made my own b-cause they are expensive. Go to a sallys beauty supply and for 20 to 50$ you can make your own!

The hair:

Try and get 100% human hair as it is easy to style and acts like your own. They have 8 inch, 10 inch and 18 inch in stores. A package costs 10 to 30$ and you only need one! (trust me there is a lot in there)

The clips:

Get the same color as the hair you buy or else it looks funny. They come in a 3 pack and are 2$ each. You need about 3 packs of them.

You will need a needle and sizzors too.

How to make them:

Open up the bought hair and marvel at how weird it looks on one long strand-pretend it is a beard, be a nut. lol

Measure TWICE the length or the clip (you double it over to sew) and then cut.

Fold hair over and pinch the seam tight.

Sew hair onto clip making sure the comb is not hidden under the hair- comb side is back side, sew to front side. There are holes to sew to so it is easy. Do easy sewing loops. Make sure hair lyes flat.

Make 5 to 10 of them. It will take you 1 to 2 hrs but you will have them forever so just tough it out.

How to wear?

Part your hair roughly so that 1/20th of it is at bottom (pull up most of it with a clip)

start at one end and comb and snap them in a row.

Let hair down. If they are too long take off and cut them down as you would normal hair.

If you want more, part hair so that 1/15 th is down make a new row.

You can try some on the sides, here and there see what works.

Check with mirror to make sure no show.

You can spray this hair, straight iron it, curl it- it if is real hair that you bought.

If they get loose just un-snap, re-comb in closer to head and snap closed.

Have fun, you can have new highlights every day- black, red, blonde, brown whatever!

Hi, Im getting my hair cut in a salon tomorrow and I hvae just bought CLIP IN hair extensions which i can put in and take out in whenever i like. The extensions are a little too long and as i have layered hair need to get them cut to blend into my natural hair better. I asked my hairdresser if she could cut them for me. Really loose big curls- usually you can get this by using your curling iron then very lightly straightening the curls.

I've been doing serious research, and I know hair well, but i cant find any site that explains how to sew plain, raw, hair into a weft or track. I own clips and alot of raw hair but none of it's sewn together, so how do I do it?

I'm confident I can do it myself, but I'm not a licensed stylist or have any beauty school experience, but I've played around withsome extentions before and know how to sew clips on to the already sewn wefts, how do I make my own wefts with out having to buy them pre-sewn?

Again, I'm very confident I can do it, and I have the resources.

Does anyone here have dreadlocks? I posted something on this the other day. I'm so sick of dealing with my hair. The work and hours I spend doing and re-doing my hair, the shedding, breakage, clipping the ends, washing, tangling, combing out and more tangling, I just cant take it anymore I'm really REALLY sick of going through this.

If there's someone here with dreadlocks can you please tell me what's involved in the locking process?

I would recommend going to a professional. I am natural and I have attempted to lock my hair (I eventually decided I didn't want it locked) but even with naturally kinky hair, it is a bit difficult and should be left in the hands of a professional.

If you are strapped for cash or just determined to do them yourself, you should buy lock gel or a pomeade. Stay away from beeswax as it will not wash out and it makes your hair look even more disgusting. Be patient and don't expect results in a week.

If your hair isnt naturally kinky or curly it is going to be difficult for it to lock but if you really want this look, stick in it long enough. http://www.dreadheadhq.com/ is a good website with a lot of products and tips especially if you are white and trying to lock it because it seems to cater specifically to you.

Be patient and be willing to not wash your hair for a while and hopefully it works out for you.

Try turning the clip sideways instead of up and down. if your hair is still too short then maybe you shouldn't use the clip. You could try using some bobbypins to hold it since they're not as big. OR you could put it in a ponytail but on the last loop of your rubber band, don't pull your hair all the way through. make it so that it's not hanging out like a regular ponytail, but so that your hair is coming out the top. you might need to use a few bobbypins to secure it.

you could use bobby pins..they really work...and if your hair is too short there are plenty of things to do wit your hair.......take your bangs and clip them back..( very cute!!!!)....good luck

its frizzy from broken ends. when your hair gets dry and brittle it will break off from the force of shampooing and brushing, this leaves a lot of hairs at different lengths.

try washing your hair with a super moisturizing shampoo and conditioner (aussie or pantiene) and then try a leave in conditioner OR a light gel before styling.

also if youre using a blow dryer or straightner on a daily basis STOP IT. its not healthy for your hair at all. if you must use these things save your hair with a LIGHT leave in conditioner in your wet hair before styling. pantiene makes a great leave in protector, it doesnt weigh the hair down or get sticky. If youre using a straightner with gold or metal plates throw it away. you can replace it with a ceramic one for around 20 dollars, and your blow dryer should be ionized.

If you take care of your hair it will always repay you.

well go out and buy some hair spray and when you do your hair just dampen your hair and spray your hairspray over the top and just a little at the bottom then just style it lyk you normally would after you do that use some mouse and just apply that on thinnly and it should hold your hair

Hi everyone,

I want to try hair extensions (clip on ones, synthetic) for a special event. My mom suggested I try a fall instead (like a 3/4 wig that you put on your head... kind of like one big extension). What would look more "Natural"? (not that any of this is natural but I just want a change for the party)

My natural hair is at shoulder length... I am afraid that the extensions would show where my real hair ends. The fall would cover that up. What do you all think?

I have clip in hair extensions. They're hecka long, and mine are scene style - but I suggest you go for them.

They're SO easy to put in and they blend right in to your hair. My hair is kind of choppy and different lengths, but it works well. Make sure you ask the place you get them from to put them in for you before you purchase them (they should do this anyway) so you know you like what you see.

I don't know how old you are, but for high school students (who typically want extensions for school dances, ect.) use something called a 'track'. Most beauty supply stores sell real human hair on one long track for $30 or less (depending on length.) Once you have purchased the long track you cut it into one inch pieces and have it glued to your scalp using hair glue. These extensions stay in for 3 to 10 days. It's easy to get them out, you just have to leave conditioner on them for several minutes. Tracks look the most genuinely real in hair and come in handy when straightening or curling (since they are genuine 100% human hair).

HOWEVER. If you absolutely are choosing between a 'fall' and clip on ones i would choose the 'fall', clip on's can often look cheap and fake.

Hey everyone,

So I already have pretty long hair (down to my lower back) but its pretty thin so I was thinking about getting some clip-on hair extensions to give it more fullness. My question is what type of set do you think I should get?

Set 1 is 18" extensions:

Three - 6.5" wide piece (3 clips per piece)

Six - 1.5" wide pieces (1 clips per piece)

Set 2 is 18" extensions:

One - 8" wide (3 clips per piece)

Two - 6" wide (3 clips per piece)

Two - 4" wide (2 clips per piece)

Two - 2" wide (1 clip per piece)

Remember, I just want more fullness. Should I get more smaller pieces like Set 1 or bigger pieces like Set 2? Thanks so much!

as a stylist and not knowing if you have layers, or what kind of layers some simple suggestions

back comb your hair in back for body and use a flat iron to straighten your hair.

back comb and curl your hair and pull it back at the sides with combs or bobby pins.

pull just the sides back into a pony tail (back comb a little for body) and leave your bangs out.

use small butterfly clips and pull just small sections of hair back leaving your bangs out.

I hope that helps give you some ideas.

Make a low pony tail or put it up in pretty clips. And I can't stress it enough: MOISTURIZE! Use a leave-in conditioner JUST on the ends before you blow dry and style. How long is your hair currently? If it is quite short on top or rather fine then I suggest try another technique. If you are wanting them for weekends or special occassions then they'll be a great buy - but if you want permanent everyday ones then you should try having them weaved in or glued in.

I currently have glued in ones, I get them done at a salon and they use Great Lengths hair extensions, I have to get each extension cut in half because my hair is so fine, but it fills my hair lovely. Not only does it make it look longer it adds lots of volume.

Above is a picture of my hair extensions. I am thinking about having them removed once my maintence is due and getting clipins - glued in ones (well the ones I get) are so expensive and the maintence isnt the cheapest.

use a 1 inch curling iron to curl the remaining hair in the pony tail bobby pin some of the curls forward towards your face for a more professional updo look...use aerosol hairspray for hold...

you can curl or leave strait the hair you left out of the pony tail

finish off with some rhinestone clips or hair pins that match your dress...everyone will think you had it done in a salon.....practice a few days before the night you need it done to make sure you are able to get it the way you want it...

I bought the long striaght synthetic ones and they are okay. They tangle easy and you can't really brush them because the hair will fall out, and the texture is a lot differerent from human hair, so i am going to buy the human ones next. Make sure you exactly match your color and it will be less obvious. They are pretty easy to put in but it takes a few tries to find the right spot on your head so that you can't see the line/bump through your hair, but it you tease your hair at the crown it helps. I love them for a night out but they are too itchy and hot to wear during the day. Hope this helps!

go ahead and get them! you can get them at sallys too or any beauty supply store near you (you should be able to at least). They are the best to used because weave in ones damage the hell out of your hair and glue in ones can be quite painful to get out.

It was actually at the mall and it was blond underneath highlights, and i was just scratching my head, and then started like slipping.

A great deal of our budget is going to floral decoration because of our wedding theme. We both have bad allergies and are getting silk. I've purchased at least 6 or more - probably closer to 10 different hair pieces - mainly from Sally's Beauty Supply but also from other places. I purchase the appropriate fake hair shampoo and conditioner. When I first get them they're soft and shiny but after wearing them for a little while they get "matted" underneath and forget trying to comb them out - then they frizz. The shampoo and conditioner is worthless. So as a result I get one and wear it for a couple of months maybe until it gets looking icky and then have to purchase another one --- what's up with that? Does anyone know?

Follow the care instructions on the packaging. Store them in plastic bags, separately, wrapped in a satin scarf if you can spare it.. Use mousse (for curly pieces), hair sheen spray (for straight pieces) and a soft vent brush on them. Don't expect them to last very long. Take them off as soon as you can and never sleep in them. They're made cheaply, but some of the ethnic beauty stores and online stores sell a higher quality product. Sally's gone the cheap route! The best hair out there is Remi. I have never purchased hair extentions before personally, but when I was in HS, a few of my friends got them for prom and things like that. They always went to a professional salon to get them done. That is what I would do if it's not working out for you.

Are you being too energetic when washing them? To wash them, all you need is a capful of woolite and some lukewarm water, swish around a couple times and rinse.....you shouldn't have to do this very often though....are you washing them too often????

That's awful you shouldn't have to keep spending your money on all those hair extension peices. Maybe you should get a human hair clip on in which you can wash it with regular shampoo. The problem could be the brand of the hair or the company. I don't think its you since you try to take care of it. But it could also be the types of hair product you use, example, hair spray or gels.

the 'fake' hair is synthetic, and just like synthetic fabric in sweaters, will knot up after awhile (like those little balls you get on your sweater). With the ponytail rubbing along your clothes, and headrests, it'll matt up. Invest in human hair. The pony tails run about $15-20 at Sally's and will last you a long time. You can wash, condition and dry like your hair without any issues.

I have very short hair. When I had my daughter 3 years ago, I cut off all my hair into a cute pixie cut. Now that my daughter is 3 and my son is 1, I have enough time and energy to actually do my hair. I would like to grow it out again, but I'm dreading that horrible, ugly, "mushroom-head" phase. Does anyone have any tips for surviving that awful period of time when the hair-growing process gets a little awkward? I'm 30 years old, and I want to still be able to look beautiful without having to wear a ton of clips in my hair.

HAI is the one I use. I love it. You can get a good deal through folica.com (Free on-line shipping too.) Just make sure that you purchase an all ceramic (not just ceramic-coated) model. And, since you are straightening your bangs, you may want the smallest version. Depending on how thick your bangs are, get a small claw clip to pull your front hair up. Then, straighten your bangs in 1 inch sections. Good luck!

Why would do that? If you really want to, just straighten it, surely your hair isn't that curly. But there are products that help, mostly for girls, I don't think I have seen any designed for guys. I use Herbel Essence Dangerously Straight. And V05 Miracle Mist to heat protect it, because my hair got FRIED, so now I don't straighten it at all. I cannot wait until February 16, that is when I am going to allow myself to start straightening again. It will have been a month.

Well, for you I would recommend 18 inch or 19 inch to be just below your shoulders.

I also like the Jessica Simpson hairdo brand. It is easy to put in and less detectable. You can wear them in updos and ponytails, too. And they come in one large clip, so you don't have to deal with individual wefts -- especially since you want to wear your extensions often.

Extensions by Hairdo come in both synthetic and human hair. The synthetic ones cost $90 - $100 and they last about 3 months. Human hair extensions by Hairdo cost about $400 and last for at least a year.

And yes, your clip in hair extensions will need some maintenance. You should wash them regularly with specially designed products. The human hair extensions should be washed with products designed for chemically treated hair.

Wash them a few times with dish soap, not shampoo. Liquid dish soap is extremely clarifying, and will draw out more of the dye than plain shampoo. If this method isn't working for you, try mixing a solution of water and peroxide in a spray bottle and saturating the dry extensions with the mixture. After about 10 minutes or so, you should notice the extensions begin to lighten. When they are the color you want, just shampoo them to remove the mixture. You might also try putting lemon juice in them and blow drying them... I'm not certain that this will work, it's just something that I do sometimes in the summer to bring out my highlights- %26amp; it works well for that purpose.

The real clip-ins at Sally's are $50-$100. They look good though and you can use them again and again. :) I don't suggest ordering hair off the internet ever, because you need to match it up to your own. You would probably benefit from synthetic clip-ins because the style is baked in and they are cheaper than real human hair.

that's only 8" long... so your hair would be, at best, to your shoulders. and those are the kind that you have to sew or glue into your hair in strips... i would suggest going to a salon... that is for sure not a clip in. read carefully. just because it says simple and fast or easy doesn't mean clip in.

Heeeey....clip in ones are not good for your hair either....the only bad thing about hair extensions is the added weight....that's all. If your hair is not strong enough then it won't be able to hold the weight and it'll end up snapping all over the place. I have glue in extensions and that's after I tried the clip in ones...I got so sick of them falling out and feeling loose, so I just got permanent ones stuck in.

Imagine a nail falling off in a public place......embarassing huh? Well imagine some of your hair falling out???!!!

Your salon should glue in around three extensions for you so you can test them...see how you like that.

Every once in a while I like to put hair extensions in and this is what I know:

1. If you put them enough then yes. It puts extra weight and stress on your hair and can break or pull it out.

2. When I do my extensions I put 18 inches in and I get it at Sallys. It's a glue in extension and costs $30

3. Yes you can still style your hair as long as you get real hair. DO NOT GET SYNTHETIC!!

Yes, if you get more natural hair than synthetic, you can use low heat to it without it BURNINGGG. I'm not familiar with the prices, it IS expensive, I do know that much. And it's not too damaging if you get them sewn in. And, actually, I think personally the sewing method is more natural looking. I hate tracks!

I dont think that would be very scene anymore.

But as a pony tail, I think it would only look good if a majority of your layers stuck out in a tease, while the longest layer of your hair was tied back. In a way that frames your face a bit messily.

This however, kills the point of the ponytail, as most of your hair will still be sticking out.

The clip ons are nice. I do not like the ones that are glued. Just be careful when you take the clips out. You could pull out your hair. I think these are the most fascinating hair products and I definitely recommend it. It looks very beautiful.

Im not sure what LA extentions are or how it is applied. I have had hair extentions one was a braid that went along my head from ear to ear and they sewed the hair on. The other was more recent and its called (Great Lengths) this is a much more natral look because they actually glue small pieces of hair very close to your scalp, it felt like little beads on my head. I loved it , just be careful of breakage. you must take care of it just as your beautitian says. you can look it up by googling (great lengths) that should help you find someone in your area that does it.
